Private Pilates: Meet with a Private Pilates Trainer to train specifically in Mat Pilates or Pilates Reformer.
Mat Pilates is a total body exercise regimen designed by Joseph Pilates that increases strength and flexibility and helps to improve posture. It is primarily performed standing or on a mat utilizing resistance bands, loops, balls, and gliders.
Pilates Reformer is a piece of resistance exercise equipment designed by Joseph Pilates. It consists of a platform that moves back and forth along a carriage. Resistance is provided by the exerciser’s body weight and by springs and pulleys attached to the carriage and platform. Pilates Reformer challenges your entire body with great attention to the core. Excellent for improving posture, strength and flexibility.
To sign up for a private Pilates session:
Step 1: Complete an application. Read and complete the following forms:
-Physician’s Release (if necessary based on answers to Pre-participation Screening)
Submit completed forms to the FitWell Services desk prior to first appointment. Click here for forms
Step 2: Purchase Sessions
Purchase session(s) in-person at Sales & Cashiering, JWC 1st floor, or online here prior to your first appointment. Please bring the receipt indicating proof of purchase to your first session.
Step 3: Schedule training sessions. Look forward to your personal fitness trainer contacting you within 2 business days to set up your first appointment.
