The Teaching Kitchen was developed as an educational, interactive space to meet the needs of the campus community in areas of nutrition education, food insecurity, culinary skills, and community engagement. Programs will range from Medical School students, to faculty and staff wellness programs, to summer camps, to student groups.

vegetarian cuisine. Learn delicious, healthy,
 affordable recipes that are good for the
planet AND our bodies. Whether you
live a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle or not,
learning versatile ways of using fruits,
vegetables, and grains can help you
become a more well-rounded cook!


Culinary Bootcamp
Thursdays, 12-1p
Cooking workshop focusing on
basic skills and fundamental techniques
that lend themselves towards easy,
healthy weeknight meals.

These pre-recorded videos will have demonstrations of recipes from a new cookbook each week. Sign up for this program and the recipes will be provided so you can follow along with the videos at your leisure!

The following are hosted on Instagram Live:

Ask the Chef - specific Fridays, 12-1p (4/9 & 5/14)
1 hour sessions on Instagram discussing specific topics each week with various guest co-hosts who are experts in their field

Microwave Gourmet - every other Friday, 12-1p (4/2, 4/16, 4/30, 5/14, 5/28)
2-3 easy recipes per week made in the microwave and/or cold items that can be made with basic tools (knife, cutting board, bowl)
